Generally speaking, in Virginia, one who receives stolen goods is guilty of larceny. To be liable under this section, one must knowingly buy, receive, or aid in concealing goods known to be stolen. A person who knowingly receives stolen goods may be prosecuted even though the actual thief is not convicted.
